In Loving Memory
February 2, 1933 – July 30, 2026
Johnny Sanchez, 93, of Brooklyn passed away on July 30, 2026. A master carpenter, Johnny built half the porches on his street and repaired the other half for free. His workshop smelled of cedar, and his stories lasted longer than his famous coffee.
He is survived by his daughters, Maria and Lucia; his son, Jorge; and nine grandchildren. A green burial in our meadow, beneath the oak he helped plant, honors his love of living things.
